Founded in 1978 in Cuttack, Odisha, Tirumal Group has been a pioneering name in the entertainment industry, built on the vision and dedication of three brothers: Late Mr. Gouri Kumar Mishra, Late Mr. Biranchi Narayan Mishra, and Mr. Dillip Kumar Mishra. Today, the group is led by Mr. Dillip Kumar Mishra, the youngest of the founding trio, who continues to uphold their legacy of excellence and innovation.

About Mr. Dillip Kumar Mishra
As the youngest of the three visionary Mishra brothers, Mr. Dillip Kumar Mishra has been instrumental in propelling Tirumala Pictures, popularly known as Mishra Brothers, to greater heights. With an unwavering commitment to excellence and innovation, he has successfully carried forward the legacy of his family’s entertainment enterprise.
Pioneering Career in Film Production:
Mr. Mishra began his illustrious career in 1978 as a film producer, collaborating with his elder brothers. Together, they produced critically acclaimed Oriya feature films, starting with Tapasya, which garnered 7 out of 8 State Awards and achieved commercial success. Other notable films include Jaga Hatare Pagha, Jananee, Mamata Mage Mula, Thakura Achhanti Chau Bahaku, Kotie Manisha Gotie Jaga, Pathara Khasuchhi Bada Deulu, and Rupa Gao Ra Suna Kaniyan.
Television Excellence:
Mr. Mishra extended his creative expertise to television, producing a series of successful programs for Doordarshan, including Chatur Binoda Khatha, Geetamala Chitramala, and Tipi Tipi Chayageeti. The latter achieved remarkable success, surpassing Doordarshan’s primetime news ratings in Odisha.
Music Industry Leadership:
In 1999, Mr. Mishra founded T.P. Music, revolutionizing the Odisha music industry. The debut album shattered sales records, selling nearly 300,000 cassettes. Over the years, the company produced more than 80 albums, many of which achieved overwhelming success.
Cinema Exhibition and Distribution:
Under Mr. Mishra’s leadership, the organization owned and operated two iconic cinema halls—Narmada Talkies in Balasore and Ganesh Talkies in Jaleswar. Additionally, he distributed over 100 Hindi, Oriya, and English films across Odisha.

T.P. Music, popularly known as “TP,” began its journey in 1999 with the release of the iconic Odia album Nandi Ghosha, featuring an ensemble of national-level artists. Over the years, T.P. Music has established itself as a leading name in the regional music industry, producing approximately 85 albums across modern and devotional genres, with remarkable success.

Tirumala Pictures began its journey in 1978 with the distribution of the Hindi film Solva Sawan. Shortly after, the company ventured into production with the Odia feature film Tapasya, which achieved critical and commercial acclaim. Tapasya won numerous prestigious accolades, including 7 out of 8 State Awards, and became a box-office success. This milestone marked the beginning of a series of Odia film productions, including Jananee, Jaga Hatare Pagha, Mamata Mage Mula, Mohinee, Thakura Achhanti Chaubahaku, Kotie Manisha Gotie Jaga, Pathara Khasuchi Bada Deula Ru, and Rupa Gaon Ra Suna Kanya.
In addition to production, Tirumala Pictures made its mark as a distributor of Hindi and English films in Odisha. Its distribution portfolio includes blockbuster titles such as Ek Duuje Ke Liye, Himmatwala, Tohfa, Mawaali, Jaani Dost, Sharara, Kaamyaab, Qaidi, Justice Choudhury, and the global phenomenon Titanic.
